the main thing
In the premises of La Dépêche du Midi, Bigflo and Oli unveiled this Tuesday the complete programming of the Rose Festival, which will take place at the MEETT on September 2nd and 3rd.
All the names are there. Bigflo and Oli unveiled this Tuesday in the premises of La Dépêche du Midi the programming of the first edition of the Rose Festival, co-produced by the group La Dépêche et Bleu Citron, which will take place on September 2 and 3 at MEETT.
For several months, the two brothers had been making the sauce rise. Some (big) names of artists scheduled for the Rose Festival had already been announced last December.
Rappers Ziak, Damso, Chilla, IAM and DJ Paul Kalkbrenner were the first to respond. More recently, on May 14, the haloed singer of a music victory Ben Mezuet confirmed his arrival at the event, which had been canceled in 2021 due to the health crisis.
Here is the full schedule: on Friday night, Zinée, the group L’Impératrice, Deluxe, the duo Mouss and Hakim Zebda, Ben Mezué, Damso, Ziak, Polo and Pan will perform on stage. On Saturday, it will be the turn of NTO, Chilla, Luidji, Iam, FKJ, Folamour, Laylow, Paul Kalkbrenner and Bon Entendeur to take the stage.
Bigflo and Oli will play both nights. “It’s a real pride to organize this event with you,” Jean-Nicolas Baylet, general manager of the group La Dépêche du Midi, said in a preamble to the duo and Simon Capus, the director of Bleu Citron.
A mix of styles
The festival will therefore host electro, pop, French variety and rap. “But beware, this is not a rap festival,” warns Bigflo, wearing a sweatshirt in the colors of the event. We didn’t want to be locked into that style. On the other hand, for this first edition, it is a youth festival. We wanted to talk to our generation. But everyone is welcome. »
Oli adds that in future editions, Sunday could become a day that will welcome artists who touch families.
“The goal is for all Toulouse residents to be happy to attend the Rose Festival.” And who knows? In 10 years or even after us, it may become a classic that has put our city on the festival map, ”rejoices the rapper.
After posting the new names joining the lineup on their social media, the two brothers celebrated the announcement in St. Peter’s Square. Bigflo and Oli made an appointment with the people of Toulouse and offered them goodies and places to win for the festival. At 7pm in the Saint des Seins bar, DJ Grizzy, singers Enae, Lombre and WarEnd performed. A taste of what promises to be the festival of the year in Toulouse.
