The cast of “Stranger Things” has revealed many young talents around the world, but the series also features its batch of iconic faces that marked the 1980s.

1. Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers)

She is obviously the most famous actress in the series. If there’s one face that can be likened to Hollywood cinema in the 1980s, it’s that of Winona Ryder. Before playing Will’s mother (Noah Schnapp), the actress acted under the direction of the greatest directors: Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola or Tim Burton.

In the latter, she plays the role that will reveal her to the whole world, that of Lydia, a young gothic teenager, in Beetlejuice. That was in 1988. The same year, she starred in one of the most famous black comedies of the decade, Heathers.
