How to use two WhatsApp accounts on iPhone and Android

WhatsApp has become so popular that many users want to double the fun by using two WhatsApp accounts on the same iPhone or Android phone.

In general, it’s easy to use two WhatsApp accounts on Samsung and other Android phones because many budget Android phones come with dual SIM card slots and dual messenger capability.

Since dual SIM phones can be associated with two different phone numbers, it becomes easy to verify an additional WhatsApp account on the same phone.

In the case of the iPhone, the only way to use two WhatsApp accounts is to use the business version of WhatsApp, which offers the option of using a different phone number on the same phone.

Note: iPhone XS and XR models support eSIM in addition to the standard Nano SIM.

1. Use two WhatsApp accounts on iPhone and Android

The easiest way to use two WhatsApp accounts on both iPhone and Android is to download and install the business version of WhatsApp on your phone.

Note: Downloading WhatsApp Business will not affect your existing WhatsApp account as long as you use a different phone number to verify WhatsApp Business.

1. open that app store on your iPhone (Google Load game in case of Android Phone).

2. Search for WhatsApp Business and install it WhatsApp business on your phone.

3. Once the app is downloaded, Open WhatsApp and tap Agree Accept WhatsApp Terms of Service.

4. Select on the next screen Use a different number Possibility.

5. Choose country, Enter phone number and tap Next to receive a verification code from WhatsApp to your second phone number.

Note: Make sure the second phone number is active and can receive text messages.

6. On the next screen, enter the verification key as received from whatsapp.

Note: Don’t close the screen or try to change the phone number if you don’t receive a confirmation code via SMS.

Just wait five minutes and tap call me Option to receive a verification code via WhatsApp automated calling system.

7. On the next screen, enter yours Surname and tap Next to complete the setup process of your second WhatsApp account.

You can upload a profile picture on the next screen or close the screen or come back later to upload a profile picture.

2. Use two WhatsApp accounts with Dual Messenger

As mentioned above, Android phones from Samsung and other brands come with dual SIM card slots and built-in dual messenger capability.

If your Android phone supports Dual Messenger feature, you can use two WhatsApp accounts on the same phone even if the second SIM card is not installed on the phone.

This can be achieved by using the landline number, Skype or Google Voice phone number to verify the second WhatsApp account on the same phone.

1. Go to settings > Advanced features > Duplicate messenger.

2. On the next screen, move the switch next to Whatsapp to ON Position.

3. Tap on the confirmation pop-up To install to download a second copy of WhatsApp to your phone.

4. Once the download is complete, open Whatsapp > tap Agree Accept WhatsApp Terms of Service.

5. Select on the next screen countryenter your second phone number and tap Next.

6. follow that on-screen prompts to verify your second WhatsApp account.

Once the account is verified, you can use both your first and second WhatsApp accounts on the same phone.

3. Use two WhatsApp accounts with WhatsApp Web

If you have WhatsApp accounts on two different phones (phone A and B), you can mirror phone #A WhatsApp account on phone #B screen or vice versa by using WhatsApp Web.

1. Download Message tab App from Google Play Store on Phone A.

2. Once the app is downloaded, open it Message tab app and tap the web scan Possibility.

3. Once you tap Web Scan, you will see a QR code on your phone screen.

4. Open Whatsapp on Phone #B > tap 3 point menu icon and select WhatsApp web option in the drop down menu.

5. Use Phone #B’s rear camera to scan the QR code on phone #A.

Once the QR code is scanned, you will see Phone#B’s WhatsApp account on Phone#A’s screen.

With phone #B’s WhatsApp account, you can send and receive messages on phone #A.

Using two WhatsApp accounts on the same phone

If you create two WhatsApp accounts on the same phone, you will see two WhatsApp icons on your phone’s home screen.

All that is required on your part is simply tapping on the WhatsApp account that you wish to use on your phone at any given time.

Depending on your device, you may also find the option to use either a common or a different contact list for the two WhatsApp accounts.
