AWith the re-emergence of monkeypox in several countries that were not part of the endemic outbreak of disease, the Directorate of Epidemiology and Disease Control, affiliated with the Ministry of Health and a national monitoring and response plan is in place. The latter detected a first case, involving monkeypox or Monkeypox.
The statement issued by the Ministry of Health is reassuring about the patient’s condition “Stable” and indicates “Don’t worry”recalling that he was immediately placed under medical surveillance, after receiving the results of his tests, in accordance with the response protocol put in place to control this disease.
The same source said that epidemiological surveys listed all the contacts of the infected person, in order to monitor them and take preventive measures to prevent the spread of the virus, in accordance with national and international health safety standards, as they showed no symptoms so far.
Finally, the communiqué states that the World Health Organization (WHO) and those responsible for the international health lists of the country of origin have been informed of the results of the tests.
