Enable or disable Chrome autofill on an Android phone or tablet
The benefit of enabling autofill in the Chrome browser is that you can automatically log in to your favorite websites and fill out online forms with saved passwords, payment methods, and shipping addresses.
When Chrome AutoFill is enabled, the browser will automatically prompt you to save the password in Chrome Browser when you enter a password on any website.
If you agree to save the password, the Google Chrome browser can automatically log in to the website with the saved password when you visit the same website again.
Likewise, you can save payment methods, email addresses, phone numbers and shipping addresses in the Chrome browser.
Save passwords in Google Chrome on Android phone
If you enable the “Save passwords” option, Google Chrome can save passwords and log in to websites with your saved credentials.
1. Open Chrome app > tap 3 point menu icon > select settings in the drop down menu.
2. On the settings screen, tap passwords.
3. Activate on the next screen save passwords option and check Automatic login process.
As a result, the Google Chrome browser will prompt you to save passwords and use your saved credentials to automatically log in to your favorite websites.
Save payment methods in Google Chrome on Android phone
1. Open Chrome app > tap 3 point menu icon > select settings in the drop down menu.
2. On the settings screen, tap Payment Methods.
3. Activate on the next screen Save and fill out payment methods option and tap + Add map.
4. On the next screen, enter yours Credit card Details.
Save addresses in Google Chrome on an Android phone
This option allows the Google Chrome browser to save your phone number and shipping address and use this information to automatically fill out forms.
1. Open Chrome app > tap 3 point menu icon > select settings in the drop down menu.
2. On the settings screen, tap Payment Methods.
3. Activate on the next screen Save and fill out payment addresses option and tap +Add address Possibility.
4. On the next screen you can enter yours phone number, Email-address and Delivery address.
Disable Chrome AutoFill on an Android phone
You can easily disable Chrome’s autofill feature at any time and remove your data from the browser cache.
1. Open Chrome app > tap 3 point menu icon > select settings in the drop down menu.
2. On the settings screen, tap passwords.
3. Disable on the next screen save passwords option and disable Automatic login process Possibility.
4. Tap the back arrow > Tap on Payment Methods > Disable Save and fill out payment methods.
5. Tap Back > Disable again Save and fill in addresses option.
Clear saved passwords and autofill form data in Chrome browser
If you previously had AutoFill enabled, you can easily clear saved passwords and other AutoFill form data in Chrome Browser.
1. Open Chrome app > tap 3 point menu icon > select settings in the drop down menu.
2. Go to on the settings screen privacy and tap Clear browser data Possibility.
3. On the next screen, click Progressive tab, select all time tick as time range Saved Passwords, Autofill form data box and click the delete data Button.
This should clear all of your saved passwords and autofill data from the Chrome browser.
Note: It’s recommended that you revisit the Password, Payment Methods, and Addresses sections of Chrome settings to confirm that your AutoFill data has been removed.
