The investigation into the shooting at a house in the Bellay neighborhood on Tuesday night through Wednesday (June 7-8) saw a breakthrough that may have been significant a few hours after the events. Two men are in custody.
Thus, just hours after the events, the gendarmerie investigation, led by the Marine Search Brigade, appears to have made significant progress.
In the afternoon, with the support of the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN), three men were arrested at Aimé-Césaire Airport. Two of them were remanded in custody and the other was heard as a witness.
The two suspected Martiniqueans are currently being questioned on this “sensitive case” for which the gendarmerie is still quite discreet. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether or not they are involved.
As a result of the shootings in the Bellay district, at least twenty 9mm impacts were detected on the façade of the house. Fortunately, despite the presence of people in the house, no one was injured.
